Hello Fellow Yacht club members,

As you may have noticed there was an election recently. All the counting is over (and was much smoother then some other elections) and there has been a peaceful transition of power.

For those that don’t know me I have been a club member for about 10 years. I have been on the board twice in that time. I started racing weekends and offshores on my old Irwin 32 Plan B. After a year I started racing Wednesdays on a few different boats settling in to crewing on Golden Draft. 4 years ago We started racing the Lindenberg 26 99 problems. We currently race Wednesdays nearshores and offshores and pretty much anything else we can find.

I am excited for this new opportunity to do what I can for the club and its members. Feel free to reach out to me with any questions, thoughts or comments. We have a great board and committees and I look forward to what we can accomplish.

Speaking of committees Stacy McKenzie and the social committee have a great idea for a virtual social event : Sunday(tomorrow) is the start of the Vendee Globe race. There is an opportunity to participate in some racing virtually using the VR inshore app. There are plans for virtual races and togethers to discuss decisions, strategies and results. Stay tuned for that.

Thank you for your time and again I look forward to hearing from and representing you.
